Our Programs

Our organization works with the VA. The VA has a program called HUD-VASH or Housing and Urban Development - Veterans Association Supportive Housing. This programs helps veterans find homes and gets America's heroes off the street. HUD-VASH helps set up veterans in apartments and other affordable housing situations and guides these veterans through the transition of being homeless to now having a home and paying their bills.

So what does VAH do?

Veterans Are Heroes steps in to provide the housing items that most of the veterans we help do not have. VAH is given the names and move in dates for the people we help. We go to our storage and pull the basic household items that are needed to move in to their new home.

WE NEED YOU!

We need volunteers. We are a completely non-profit, volunteer based, organization. We do not get paid monetarily to help but we get paid in the smiles and tears of the ones we help.
